Agritechnica 2023: SIP beefs up Disc HD mower-conditioners with 11m model

Higher output is the order of the day for SIP’s Disc HD butterfly mower conditioners, which have a maximum working width of up to 11.08m.

Together with a new aerodynamic cutterbar and heavy-duty metal tine conditioner, this gives the largest 1100 D FS model a work rate of up to 20ha/hour.

Hydro-pneumatic suspension is also fitted to help the beds glide smoothly over undulating ground, and there’s an overload monitoring system that alerts the operator if the driveline starts to slow down.

Belt mergers can be added too, allowing the entire working width to be gathered into one swath in a single pass.

Two models are available, with the 1000 D FS offering a working range of 9.2 to 10.2m and the 1100 D FS stretching from 10.5 to 11.08m.

The minimum power requirement ranges from 180 to 220hp, depending on the width and whether mergers are fitted.
